based on an experiment of growing a slime mold called physarum polycephalum i started to create visual material that could represent the character of this organism. i placed the slime mold on the gelatine layer of a 35 mm photo film and let it grow. after that i scanned the film and saw that the surface of the negatives were transformed into abstract landscapes. in text form i compared every gelantine-landscape with real landscapes that came to my mind. so this work is kind of a cooperation, but works like an essay, in which a human beeing tries to analyze and understand a strange species.
