at the same time as the pandemic started, i returned to germany from my erasmus semester in romania. i decided to stay in the village, where i grew up, for a couple of weeks. i slept in a small caravan in my fathers garden, that i built together with my boyfriend one year before and spent my time working in the garden and taking long walks through the forest. i felt something like roots, keeping in mind, that i had left this small world for many reasons. so i started a portrait series about my self and this place. i tried to visualize my inner questions and thoughts. the outcome was a mix of ironic photos and serious pictures, that are representing what i appreciate about my "home“ but also questioning the shaping of my personality.
